Bacon Stuffed Turkey Burger

Serves 6 people

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6-8 strips thick cut bacon, cooked, and crumbled
  • 4 oz. Colby Jack cheese, shredded

In a small bowl, mix crumbled bacon and cheese. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce together.

Portion your individual burgers using a ½ cup measuring cup, leveling each scoop.
Using your fingers, form a well or slight hole in the middle of burger. Fill burger with a couple tablespoons of bacon and cheese. Form the sides over the filling, completely covering filling with turkey meat. Gently press to form a round burger.

Heat non-stick sauté pan or grill over medium high heat. Cook burgers for 6-8 minutes per side, until burger is cooked throughout and cheese is melted on the inside.
